Autogenic EP is SNOWDN’s first solo release, a mini concept album centered around the dynamic experience of taking a bath. Musically, it's inspired by the Japanese word “Ukiyo” (浮世), the floating world. Referring to its modern usage as a state of being, to live in the moment and go with the flow. Throughout the EP, field and hydrophone recordings of bath time are stitched together to place you literally in the water and on its surface. If not in the bath yourself, Autogenic allows your ears to fill up the tub, sift through bubbles, drips, a drain and dry off with a warm towel. The recordings, as well as some found sounds, are processed by modular synthesis and guitar pedals, allowing the soundscapes to take on a liquid entity of their own. Modular and hardware synth melodies act as a life jacket, to float you along the pleasurable relaxing journey.
